This piece was published by Vanity Fair back in April on listing and cataloging the themes from Bob Dylan’s XM satellite-radio program Theme Time Radio Hour, but came across it today on my desk and found relevance in the idea of taking stock and doing a little bit of personal cataloging. No analysis or prognosis necessary.

Simply beautiful: Sigur Ros performs live at the MoMA in New York.
Or, when satire died:
Black Cab Sessions are filmed in London, on the premise of shooting one (musical) band, in one cab, in one take. Seeing Wolf Parade tonight at First Ave, and thought they’d be included in the list of eccentric and select group so far filmed, but alas are not. So, I revert back to a classic: The Raveonettes perform “Dead Sound.”
Update: just referred a friend over to Black Cab Sessions site and was referred over to Les concerts a Emporter, in France. Along similar lines as Black Cab Sessions, with nearly impromptu staged musical videos, but this feels a little more arty, and…it’s on the go.

Came across this interesting article in the New York Times about how we view, consume and ultimately digest meat (to sum up the argument: eat less of it, and when you do, practice portion control). Far more interesting for me in the context of having had more Vegan and Vegetarian meals these past few months than ever before in my life; reason being sharing meals with friends who view eating meat as an ethical stance for protesting and hopefully preventing animal cruelty. Makes you stop for a minute, huh? I’m a Montana girl and particular about what kind of meat I do consume, but it’s a heart stopper if you care about animals and begin to think about the impact that each bite of meat has on you, the environment and the animal it came from.
