Came across this interesting article in the New York Times about how we view, consume and ultimately digest meat (to sum up the argument: eat less of it, and when you do, practice portion control). Far more interesting for me in the context of having had more Vegan and Vegetarian meals these past few months than ever before in my life; reason being sharing meals with friends who view eating meat as an ethical stance for protesting and hopefully preventing animal cruelty. Makes you stop for a minute, huh? I’m a Montana girl and particular about what kind of meat I do consume, but it’s a heart stopper if you care about animals and begin to think about the impact that each bite of meat has on you, the environment and the animal it came from.
