The Wedding Slideshow & Video of “The Song”

Alas! A wedding, our wedding, to share with you. After receiving the full gallery of images from the big day (563), I thought putting together a short video would be a nice way to share them with family, but am posting here as well for those interested. It’s fifteen minutes long. You’ve been warned.

If you made it through the ceremony pics from the slideshow (congrats!), you’ll notice some crying. At the end of the ceremony, we said our vows and slipped rings on each other’s fingers. I was ready to be pronounced Mr. and Mrs. until Mark (Frank’s Dad, who officiated our ceremony) said something like, “Life is full of surprises, and this is one of those moments. Julia, your husband has a surprise for you.” His cousin Gino stood up and walked to the piano, and began playing. Then Frank’s sister-in-law’s brother whom we affectionately call Gooey, stood up and started singing. Then, his Grandpa Geno stood up and started singing, then I noticed my Dad and littlest brother stood up. Video of bridal meltdown:

Video of the singing party:

Ceremony and Reception Venue: University Club of St. Paul, Downtown Clubhouse. String quartet: Laurels String Quartet. Trees (our “alter”) were Silver Maples from Gertens. Photographer is the lovely Stephany Wieland of EyeSpy Photography, Bamboo chairs were rented through Apres Rental, my dress was from L’Atelier Couture, Hair & Makeup by Salon 526, Flowers by the amazingly creative (I asked for something like a forest, and I got it!) Martha at Martha’s Gardens, and so fun, so rockin’ Reception Band: Dr. Mambo’s Combo. Beautiful invitation suite was designed by the talented Jessica Ward (my colleague). Food was from the University Club (so delicious!) and Cake was by Buttercream. I have nothing but high praise for all of these businesses and individuals who made planning and enjoying our wedding day a piece of cake.
